At the auspicious site of the Hindu temple, Pashupathinath, a small group of Catholic nuns care for the elderly and infirm as they live out their remaining days.

Narrated by the reknowned Hindu sadhu, Shri Ram Krishna Das (A.K.A. Milk Baba), 'a small light' is a look at old age, death and dying in a religiously diverse locale.

'a small light' is an experimental hybrid of observational cinema and metaphorical narrative. It speaks of earthly embodiment and the confines and constructs of the mortal body in contrast to the eternal soul. Through the elderly we observe an embodied account that comments upon the convergent and divergent creeds of the religiously devoted who live and work around the temple.
