Director's Statement
As a student of Visual Anthropology, I take very seriously the implications of and the discoveries that can be made through the medium of the camera (whether it be still or motion).
The act of exploring an “Other,” while simultaneously integrating a part of yourself into the people and the landscape is at the very heart of inquiry.
My work aims to inspire inquisitiveness in the viewer rather than didactically explain away the cultural richness that is often revealed on that first, pre-linguistic, and phenomenological level.
Human interaction is vital to my work, and keeps me ever as an apprentice to the master that is human experience.
